Meet the team...

Vicar Revd Pete Jackson

Pete is married to Sharon and they have two children, Ben and Rosie. They moved to Kendray in February 2007. Prior to training for ordination at Oak Hill College, Pete was a graphic designer in North London. He has worked for churches in Newcastle and Lowestoft.

Women & Children’s Worker Ruth Sloan

Ruth is originally from Wolverhampton and amongst other things has been a barmaid, actress, and school cleaner. Before moving to Kendray in 2010, Ruth lived in Dagenham where she worked for a church. She enjoys walking, reading and rock-climbing.

Church Warden Joyce Clayton

Joyce has lived in Kendray for many years, and has been church warden at St Andrews for the last 14 years. She has two sons, Shaun and Darren, and daughter, Sharon. Joyce also has a dog called Max and enjoys playing Beetle Drive.

Church Warden Alice Wilson

Alice was church warden at St Andrew’s from 1995-2000, and was elected again in April 2008. She has a daughter, Vicky and two sons, Gary and Richard.

Youth Worker Xander Coomber

Xander grew up in Brighton and lived there all his life until moving to Kendray in August 2010. After leaving school he worked in a bakery and then a pharmacy. He plays cricket for Barnsley and loves football... especially Arsenal (and Brighton).
